Fall 2026 Bioinformatics Workshops: AI for Biomedical and Life Science Research

This fall, join us for a workshop series exploring how AI is transforming biomedical and life science research. Sessions will be co-taught by NVIDIA experts and local researchers.

NVIDIA specialists will introduce the NVIDIA AI-enabled platform for healthcare and life sciences, with a focus on accelerated solutions in key areas including medical imaging, genomics, drug discovery, large language models, and AI research assistant agents for biomedical applications.

Local researchers will lead hands-on sessions showcasing their own work in AI for biomedical and life science research, while also guiding participants through using Pitt's CRCD clusters for AI research.

Open to all University of Pittsburgh students, faculty, staff, and affiliates — free of charge.

All sessions will be held virtually.

Note: The hands-on portions require access to CRCD clusters, which need an account. If you don't already have one, a temporary account will be created for you. No software installation is needed on your personal laptop.

Basic familiarity with Python and the Linux environment is helpful but not required — all scripts will be thoroughly explained so that every attendee can follow the reasoning behind them.
